For the and the contest.

Omg...I swear, this was one of the hardest and longest projects I've ever done. It took me almost 3 and a half weeks to get this done.

This idea came to me from my dream after I listened to "Let Go" by Red and "Rebirthing" by Skillet from my iPod and the idea struck me.

I think this turned out well, I like how I drew some good details on Riku -- especially his dark/Heartless outfit. Plus, I've been revisiting the first game of Kingdom Hearts. It took me a while to get those 3 parts where I think Riku has and was opened to Darkness.

"Hatred..." - Riku was searching for Sora and Kairi. He finds Sora in Traverse Town, telling him it took forever to find him. Then he feels hurt that Sora was with Goofy and Donald when he thought the three of them (a.k.a. Sora, Kairi and himself) could travel together.

"Betrayal..." - Riku, the former candidate for the keyblade takes what's rightfully his and leaves Sora who supposedly abandoned him.

"Redemption..." - Riku finally realizes his unjust ways and decides to do something right by helping Sora seal the "Door To the Light." He says his final goodbye and has Sora promise to him to take care of Kairi since he won't be able to.

I chose these three themes with the help of my little sister . I approached her one day after hearing about the next contest and she developed these ideas while both of us watched some KH clips on YouTube. Thank you sis!!
